Personal Recommendation from Spineless Wonders’ Bronwyn Mehan
Hi Harley, hope you are well and that your uni assignments etc will soon be behind you! Just writing to say how much I appreciated all you did during your internship with Spineless Wonders. You should be very proud of both the interview questions you devised for Rose and the resources you created for the online event and, of course, the marvellous job you did as MC for the online author event with Rose Michael and Bonny Cassidy. The quality of the work you produced in your internship not only met, but exceeded the level expected of an emerging publisher.

I was brought on to the Spineless Wonders (SW) team as one of a selection of
interns, working to bring the Writers On Writers (WOW) online sessions to
fruition. The WOW events were hour-long interviews with writers on their
new SW novellas, by other writers, with audience participation in various
forms.
My specific role was as the liaison to Rose Michael, author of Else, to help
her promote her work through multiple mediums leading up to her WOW
session, for which I was the host and emerged as a secondary interviewer. I
worked as an interview writer, event planner, video editor, design assistant,
publicist, event coordinator, and improvisational interviewer—anything that
was asked of me, to the best of my abilities, and to heartening reception.
I had been given the opportunity to work in the publishing industry, and I
enjoyed a breadth of experience in that regard, as well as a number of
hurdles to overcome, achievements to accomplish, and skills to hone.
Whatever comes from this, whatever is down the unpredictable path I forge
for myself, I will go into it much more prepared than I would have otherwise
been.
