On the 31st of October, 2025, I received the Highly Commended for the Outstanding Student Award award, one of only two students from my major to be recognised at that event. The award was to recognise the highest student achievement in the Bachelor of Media and Communications at Swinburne, per major–mine being Creative Writing and Publishing.
To receive this was an honour, and a great pleasure. Below is what was read aloud about me at the event:
Harley is a poet, published many times, with a passion for storytelling and a love the lyric and narrative essay, as well as thought-provoking non-fiction. A member of the Golden Key international honours society, Harley has worked diligently to refine their craft while also excelling in industry contexts, including in their undertaking of an internship with Spineless Wonders, where they worked directly with an author as her liaison, interviewer, publicist, and event coordinator. Throughout their studies, they have compiled and curated an impressive online portfolio that showcases an extensive array of works in varied genres and forms, which is sure to dazzle future potential employers.
